Ragwort Pull

Come join us pull Ragwort from Harewood Common. Although this is a very useful native plant, the fields are to be grazed and the plant is poisonous to cattle. Any Cinnbar caterpillars found will be reloacted to a new safe home. Meeting point to be arranged

Invasive Plant Control

Come join us at Anton Lakes wher we will be pulling Ragwort as the meadows need to be grazed, and will also be pulling mimulus (monkey flower) from the rivers to stop them from clogging up. Wellies a must for the river work. Meet in the main car park off of the Goch/Redon roundabout

Batty Bats & Marvellous Moths at Anton Lakes

Come join us at Anton Lakes where we will be having a bat walk (using bat detectors) with our resident expert Kate Savage to see what species live locally. After we will look into the moth traps that have been running with Graeme Davis to see what species of moth are at the lakes and why they are important. Meet in the main car park off of the Goch/Redon roundabout. Time to be confirmed

River bank Reed cutting

Come join us in our annual managed cut of the riverside vegetation at the side of Asda. This area is cut on rotation to allow a reedbed to flourish with varrying wildflowers. Wellies a must, wadders useful if you wish to get in the river, though some will be available. Meet in Small car park behind ASDA at Anton Mill Lane end

Tree Cage Building

Come join us at Harewood Common, Picket Twenty where we will be building a cage guard to plant standard trees. This will protect them from grazing from the cattle. Meeting point to be arranged
